Having a weird issue with the native email app. I get notifications as usual, in the notifications bar up top and on the mail icon. However, once I've read and addressed the emails the notification on the mail icon (green circled #) always reads (1). No matter how many times I check it, the only way it'll clear is if I delete the icon and re-add it. Anyone else experience this issue, does anyone have a fix for it? I should add that I don't experience this issue when I use the widget. Also for email I'm running, hotmail, yahoo, and gmail.

I have had this issue, but it usually clears up the next time the HTC Mail app checks for new email. Maybe you could try deleting the cache for this app.

Go into Settings, then Applications, and Manage Applications, and search for the Mail app, then go ahead and delete the cache and see if that helps. A reboot might help too.
