After having recently rooted my HTC Desire GSM phone and applying an appropriate ROM (Revolution 3D A2SD+ v1.5 - Android 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0), I have been unable to get Google Navigation to function properly -- it usually just sits at the "waiting for directions" screen, and the 1 time in 10 it manages to pass this stage, it then crashes shortly afterwards. I have tried reinstalling and deleting data/cache for the app numerous time with no change to behaviour.

I never used to have problems with the app whilst running froyo. Is this a problem down to my current OS version, the ROM, or the Navigation app itself?

Any advice would be appreciated, as I rely heavily on this functionality.

Thanks.

I can tell you that navigation works with Gingerbread. I don't use Sense ROMs so can't say about the ROM.

Have you tried trivial things like clearing data in maps (after backing up if you have marked places or history you would want to keep)?
