Need Calendar replacement

Hey guys, as the subject says I'm looking for a good calendar app. The one feature that I miss from my dumb-phone's calendar is different alert tones for each event. So it needs that feature, also want a free calendar and must sync with Google calendar.

I tried Jorte & didn't like it at all. It might work on a tablet nicely, but on my OG Droid it was too small & stayed in monthly mode.

Which do you think is more likely:

1. It stayed in monthly mode because there's something wrong with the app.
2. It stayed in monthly mode because you didn't figure out how to change the mode.

I never saw an option to change the view from monthly mode, plus I couldn't have individual ring-tones for each event.
