What are you trying to play? The hero isn't capable of full blown flash, it only has flash lite.

Maybe it will be one day when somebody get's 2.2 onto the phone via a custom ROM, but I don't know how well it will preform.

    Welcome to the forum :)

Is there any other way to upgrade the flash player on my Htc hero?..because i can't play videos on my youtube app anymore and it says,"you have to upgrade your flash player to view this video"...is there any versions of adobe flash player that is compatible with android 2.1?(not the adobe flash player 10.1)..i tried to download adobe flash player 10.1 but it's not compatible with android ver. 2.1.(only in android ver 2.2)..i also tried to look for android ver. 2.2 but i think it's not in the market yet because i just recently updated my phone to ver 2.1..

thanks in advance for the help ...

    best wishes,

If there was it still wouldn't help as Flash Player isn't supported by the ARMv6 processor in the Hero.

Pretty much, yeah. We're stuck with the "Flash Lite" that's built into the firmware - no full-fat Flash I'm afraid.
