Hey, I'm looking for a calendar app that will ring when I have an event coming up. The default calendar on the HTC Incredible only plays a one-second chime and since I use my calendar as my morning alarm to get me up to go to work, I need something that will continue ringing until I turn it off so I can be sure I get up. Connecting to Google Calender's would be nice, but everything comes second to the alarm feature. Thanks for your help!

Can you not use the built-in alarm clock? Works just like a real one - will keep going until you stop it + snooze mode. Just used it this morning .... and you can specify the wake-up tone/tune.

I downloaded the free Business Calendar in the play store, but it won't let me set an alarm, just a 1sec reminder.

Using the built in alarm works just fine, if its a short-term reminder, but it doesn't work as well if I want to be reminded of something happening a couple of weeks down the line.

Hi TheSven,

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but did you ever get anywhere with this? I've just got my first smartphone and I can't believe the calendar notification is so poor. It's a real backwards step from my old dumb phone. I need exactly what you were asking for!

Thanks

Oh wow, haha, yeah. Found it just after posting this. The one I have now has an actual alarm mode and snooze and everything. I believe the one I found and use is called "Calendar Event Reminder (CER)" and it's in the app store. It is a paid app. Don't remember how much but you don't have to rebuy it for every phone you get and it's cheap. Hope this helps!

Exactly. So long as you log into each new/replacement device with the same Gmail account that you used with this one, you only have to pay for them once. The purchases are tied to that account, and will stay with it in perpetuity. Think of it like a digital locker allowing you unlimited re-downloads for the stuff you've already bought. In App Purchases will carry over too, so long as they're not used on things like fake currencies in games. So dropping a dollar or two to unlock an ad-free version will carry over, as will subscriptions. Buying gold or crystals in a game to spend on better weapons and the like? Not so much.
