Need help please! HTC Hero "Low on space"

    Not exactly sure how to clear up more space except uninstalling apps? I don't really have that many apps... Please help

    Thanks for all the help guys! No I'm not being facetious... I should have paid more attention to the suggestions that popped up before I took up room in the forums. I went through all 3 of my email accounts and deleted the trash in the trash folders and voila! Never would have actually thought that stuff stayed there.

    I dumped my email trash and it went away but its back?I never seen my phone memory go down before what's going on? Is it 2.1 version?

    Go to menu< settings< applications< manage applications, clear all your caches. Your browser can build up a large cache, as well as a few other apps. You may also take a look at what apps you actually use. If I haven't used one in a while, or don't need it anymore, I delete it.

    Has anyone else come up with a solution to this? I've tried clearing caches and have stopped using the HTC email client (now just using the Gmail client) but I still get the low space warning...

    Get a custom rom installed (eg. VillianROM) and use the Apps2SD function.

    I've been considering taking the plunge on rooting this phone, but I've never done that before... how big a pain in the @ss is that?
