Need help regarding root

Hello.

Im new to this kind of stuff. But i succesfully rooted my phone using this guide http://galaxys2root.com/galaxy-s2-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s2-gt-i9100-jelly-bean-android-4-1-14-1-2/

But once i install clockworkmod, i get stuck on boot exclamation mark. So i reseted everything and im back to square 0

Anyone got an advice on wich guide i should follow?

Is every "root systems" compitable with every roms, like cyanogen?

Any roms recommendation? I dont know why i want to do it, its fun. A big plus is if that im able to overclock it.

U have Samsung Galaxy SII GT-i9100, right?
follow this guide to root ur phone again:
Rooting Galaxy S2 - Dummies Guide

u won't have to flash clockworkmod this time cause it gets installed automatically when u root with this method.

Rooting ur phone means u will get administrative privilege of ur phone just like in a PC.
YES, u can flash whatever ROM u want in ur phone.

REMEMBER : read everything there is to read before flashing anything.
