Help need help with firmware

ok my phone GT9100 have a UAE firmware (default) and i live in UK (i just bought phone in UAE [but right now i am in india] )and now all people i know have android 4, not me .my question is - do my firmware location effect firmware update or my location ?
and if my firmware location effects it then can anyone post UK official android 2.3.5 firmware rom(please post link which have resume support) so i can update my phone OFFICIALLY to 4.0.3 via phones update system (not via flash) .thanks

The firmware locale code (CSC in Samsung-jargon) dictates whether updates are available. An update won't be available until it's released for that particular CSC and posted on Samsung's server(s).

It can't be done without flashing via Odin unfortunately; that's the only way to force the handset to accept a firmware intended for a different CSC.
