Need help with Gameboid.

I have a HTC Wildfire and I bought Gameboid, (The emu for the GBA).
I also downloaded a Pokemon rom and Gameboid is running a little choppy, its nothing serious, but not desirable, since its not smooth.

Does anyone know what settings could smooth it out?
I disabled audio.

I've got a Galaxy S running official Froyo 2.2 and all games (no matter how graphic or sound intensive) stutter at random intervals.

I've tried unzipping the bios file, unzipping game roms, changing refresh and frameskip options and nothing seems to work for me - other than disabling sound.

With sound disabled, games run perfectly.

I really don't know... I believe it may have something to do with the newer OS because there are videos of unrooted HTC T-Mobile G1s running Pokemon and other GBA ROMs on the Gameboid very smoothly (the G1 has Android 1.6). The HTC Wildfire has the exact same processor as the G1, and has more memory than the G1 so it should theoretically run smoother.

Try killing unnecessary apps and widgets, and disabling the HTC Sense UI and see if that works. Otherwise, we'll just have to hope a better emulator is released, or that the developer releases a fix.
