My dad gave me his "rooted" DroidX and I'm not sure how to go about updating the OS. System: Version.2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US Model: DROIDX Android: 2.2.1 Baseband: BP_C_01.09.07P Kernel: 184.108.40.206-g55626e1 w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1 Build: vzw ERI: 5 PRL: 52280 When I turn the phone on, it boots to clockworkmod recovery v220.127.116.11 and I have to press the camera shutter button to continue booting the phone. My dad can't remember what he did to "root" the phone. From reading/research, I'd like to run a mostly stock rom minus the bloatware (not sure which rom is good/best), otherwise plain gingerbread would be fine. I'm not sure where to start since I don't really know what he did to "root" the phone. Oh, and even after charging the phone overnight, it only shows 80% charged. Not sure what that's all about. Thanks!!!
