So For those Having Problems with this feature or want to learn to use this feature here is how it is done.

1) Pull down notifications bar

2) Scroll towards the right

3) Find
Wireless Storage (Then Activate it by clicking it)

4) A Wireless Storage notification will pop up

5) Open notifications and click on the wireless storage notification

6) it will bring you to the wireless storage info page
Note: you can turn it on and off and the app will not close. handy if you need to restart it.

7)Scroll down till you can see your network info
Note: it will be your wifi network name (SSID) then you will see your address. One for windows and the other one for MAC and last is the credentials. your username and password.

8) Make sure you are on the same network as the computer you are going to connect with.
Ex: If your computer is connected to
Belkin.015 (it does not matter if it is through wifi or Ethernet cable) your phone should be connected to Belkin.015 as well.

9) Once step 8 is confirmed Go to your browser or open up windows explorer.
Type in your IP adress, which will look something like:
\\XXX.XXX.X.XX\\LG_Volt
Note: The way It finally worked for me was deleting one "\" after my IP address.
After you delete that extra character your IP adress should look like this:
\\XXX.XXX.X.XX\LG_Volt
It worked in windows explorer and Firefox 32.0.2.
10) Input your credentials into the appropriate field to log in.
Note:
I found out that Firefox did not let me send files to my phone and when i did attempt it the file would be "Downloaded" to my computer.
firefox is not recommended for file management unless you just want to download.

11) Browser your files.

Finding the location of wireless storage in settings:

1) Go to
settings

2) Click on
Share & Connect

3) Scroll down to
Storage share and click Wireless Storage

4) Turn Wireless Storage On. (Top right corner there is a switch.)

5) Follow steps 6 through 11 On the above post.
Original Post:
well as you all should already know the LG volt has a Wireless Storage feature.
and i am trying to use it right now. i am not having luck. since my generated URL looks something like
\\XXX.XXX.X.XX\\LG_Volt

nothing happens when i press enter.
both the pc and the phone are connected to the same network.
the adress just doesnt do anything.

Looks like you are not getting an IP address from your wireless router to me. Is your router setup with DHCP (which is what issues the IP addresses - I think by default it would be on). Also, you don't have your router setup to only allow certain MAC addresses to connect and your phones MAC address is missing from the list do you?
These are just wild guesses from my limited experience with routers - I'm not a network expert.

If you are running Windows try going to Start Menu>Accessories then Windows Explorer. Once there type in that URL the wireless storage gave you.

okay guys..
the router IS set up as DHCP and it has the phones mac address as allow.

typing the address to the browser does nothing.
typing it into windows explorer brings a problem loading page.

any other suggestions?
would really love not to use another app.
and i do not like charging the phone when it still has full battery.
currently using wifi file transfer. but its limited.

I went through this problem. It's very simple. In windows just open the file manager as if you were looking through your c: drive for files. And in the address area where it says the file location you are in. Type the IP address then you will get a prompt for the login and password. Honestly most people will find this very hard to do and should have linked it HTML style. But this way does have it's benefits of direct direct access.

Do you know what windows explorer looks like?
LOLILOLZ
Insulting , yet hilarious.

well interestingly enough i tried it again.
in windows explorer, Again.
and this time i got a pop up of windows having a connection error.
i went ahead and clicked the diagnose button and the network troubleshooter came up with this.
" Your user account doesn't have permission to access "" "

but in the video i noticed that it says \\IP address\LG_Volt
on mine it has an EXTRA \ after the IP address.
