in reading thru the forums i notice that most users, when discussing their battery, are using some monitor which reveals percentage of battery juice remaining. i find the stock monitor in the status bar to be insufficient. what apps are you guys using that give you the best reflection of battery %/time remaining, indicate what's been using the battery, and most importantly do not eat up battery like a hog and make it not worth using?

    thanks!

I use Battery Indicator Pro, which is the paid version. You can try the free version first, which will also show battery %, but the paid version tells me how much time is left for light use, med use, heavy use, and constant use. It also allows me to disable the lock screen anytime, as well as while charging. Notifies me when battery is down to 40% and 15% by changing the notification color. It has a button to pull up the stock Battery Use menu, and is always displaying the % in the notification bar. Doesn't seem to be using a lot of battery though.

I am using Battery Widget. Nothing fancy. Just gives battery left (in percentage with a battery icon). Better than guessing what the battery status is from the icon on the top bar.
