    Guess
Wherever my 18 wheels take me
I've never used pdanet, but the reviews I read when I was looking for a tether said it was pretty slow. I use easythether pro. 10 bucks (one time charge) and its about the same speed as a decent wifi. Connection.

I guess it depends on your phone's connection. My 3g with pdanet is ok..doesn't seem much slower than my phone... when I have a 4G connection its fast!

Well when you surf on your phone you are going to mobile sites that are way smaller in size than desktop sites.

The way to figure out the problem is this: download the SpeedTest.net app on the phone. Do a couple of speed tests and average the results. THen connect to pdanet, go to speedtest.net on your computer, and average the results. They should be similar speeds.

No, that is not normal. If you are getting high speeds when doing speed tests on the phone, and aren't getting the same speeds with pdanet, then you have a problem on the computer end. Make sure you have the right drivers for the phone installed. Make sure you have the right pdanet installed.
