Mynet.apk needs blur.
Rubix blurry is a good choice.
Thank you dave. That's confirms what I had learned doing a search.
Gosh. You guys are being really nice to me. I'm very grateful. I'm not dying yet,.........am I? : 0
What goes around comes around!
Now that you have the Hotspot can you explain to a newbee why you needed to reinstall the app when the app wireless tether would do the job on your rooted phone.
Wireless tether is ad hoc and as I understand it, only one computer can connect at a time. At Disney they charge for internet, and there may be times when she wants to connect from her lappy at the same time as when I want to connect with mine.
EDIT: Maybe I'll just hit fab up for a custom solution.
Wireless tether, while great, only makes an Ad-Hoc connection. Most devices have no problems with this (i.e. laptops, ipod touches, etc) but some can't actually detect these types of access points, Android devices, notably.
So, in order for me to tether my Galaxy Tab, I use the 3G hotspot app instead, since it makes in infrastructure access point (much like a real router would)
This will be helpful if I install RubiX again. It doesn't have 3G Hotspot either IIRC.
Would be great if the hotspot can be activated in Apex even tho it already rocks!
But it doesn't...

Plenty of people have restored the 3G mobile hotspot to ApeX. What's preventing yours from doing this I believe is that the first installation failed due to not setting the permission to executable, and each subsequent one failed because of stuff left over from that first install.
So what I would suggest is this:
su
sys -rw
rm /system/app/Mynet.apk (or however it is spelled, if capitalized or not, whatever)
sys -ro
reboot
Now, after the reboot, go into settings, applications, manage applications, and try to find anything that says 3G hotspot. It'll probably be a VERY small file ~20kb. That's the trash you need to find and uninstall. After uninstalling, do another reboot.
Then, place the Mynet.apk I attached here on your sdcard, and run the usual:
su
install Mynet.apk
It will show up in the app drawer immediately.
