Need to Retrieve Data on LG with Cracked LCD Screen

How do I retrieve my pictures and videos from my LG Optimus? I have a cracked LCD screen. When I plug it into my computer, it does not show up. This is because it is in charge mode and I can't see the screen to change it. Is there another way besides replacing the screen to get my pictures and videos?

A good shop will temporarily hook up a scrap screen (one taken from a phone that's damaged too badly to pay to fix, but has a good screen) to your phone and copy the data off for you. That's one reason to maintain a good relationship with your cellphone dealer. Or, if you're planning on having the screen replaced anyway, you have it done at your local shop and they'll replace the screen, copy off your data, THEN wipe the phone.
