Root Need to RUU My Phone

    I need to RUU my HTC Desire according to a member of the forum to fix my button issues... How do I do so?

    Do you know what ruu you need ? Did you write down your version before flashing a new rom?

    You just need to download it and run it. Its pretty self explanitory

    Theres a list of them on my site bellow and i think there may be a list on this forum also.

    No I don't know what RUU I need, and I didn't write down my version before flashing a new ROM... Can you help me with that? My ROM is the custom GingerBread one, AOSP..

    Do you have a backup of your stock rom? You should have done one after root

    We've had several threads on it and to be honest, we have honestly drawn a blank on it. Its very odd.

    i thought he ruu'd last time and wiped device to see if it was still there?

    hmmmm

    fastboot oem boot will tell him the cid at which point we can try and find him the right RUU

    I think he rooted it then Vodafone RUUd it at the beginning out of confusion.

    Yes, that is correct. Then I gave it the custom AOSP GingerBread ROM, and it's still the same.

    do fastboot oem boot and paste the output from command prompt here please

    Have a look in the fastboot faq linked in the "all about rooting" sticky.

    At mods, I just posted this and didn't show up. It occurs to me I may have hit the report button instead of reply. Very close in app. Sorry

    But it really is at the top of the forum (amongst the 3 sticky posts), with a red label "Sticky" and the name "all about rooting".
