I need to return my HTC Evo Shift to the sprint repair place to fix a volume key that isn't working.

My phone is rooted, and running v2.3.3

Every single link I've found to download the RUU needed to unroot and return to stock (so Sprint won't void my warranty) leads to dead links.

Can someone who has the valid files upload them somewhere and provide a valid download link to them? All the links in the rooting tutorials are dead.

    Thanks!!!

There's an hboot and RUU, here. 2.3.4 RUU it says.

I can't vouch for its validity at the moment, as I'm on linux and my shift is dead totally these days...I would see if you can contact whomever uploaded that, though. Just to make sure.

Got it unrooted and ended up getting a new phone (same make / model).

Now I need to root this one.

Yup. Brand new in a box. Even gave me the new sim card and new battery along with it. In addition to the ones I already had. :D

Still need to root it, but it is on 2.3.4, unfortunately. :(

Ahh, probably old posts, but no, problem, I can link you :)
Just one thing, go to settings > About Phone > Software Info and see what number it says under "Software version"

    If 2.77.651.8 go HERE

    Otherwise, go HERE
or HERE, whichever is easier. Good luck, post if you have problems! :D
