Need video playback help

Haven't used my lg g2`s video camera lately until today. Shot a short video of my wife, our cat, and our Christmas tree. When playing back, it only takes up 1/3 of the phone's screen.

Went through all the options I could find and nothing. The view is narrow whether I'm on landscape or portrait.

Did you pinch to expand the image?

Tried that but the size stays the same though the image itself distorts?

I had auto screen rotate turned off. Video plays back correctly now.
