I used to have Netflix installed on my Marquee back when I first got it. I recently started paying for Netflix service again and wanted to put it on my phone naturally. Google Play is telling me that Netflix isn't compatible with my phone! WTF? I used to have it installed! I've been running into this problem a lot lately with various app on Google Play. Such as 3G watchdog, Yahoo Mail, and SKYPE! The whole reason I purchased this phone was the front facing Camera! And Skype used to work just fine and install just fine! Can anybody go into their Google Play store and confirm what I am saying?

And if they work fine for everybody else what do you suggest? Fresh install of my ROM? I'm on CT Mod btw.

Hell I have Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Ep1, Sonic CD, NFS Shift, NFS HP, and a PS1 emulator and they all run excellent because I side-loaded them. So what gives? Is making apps incompatible when they used to show up in the market a marketing strategy for Boost Mobile so people will buy newer phones?

Works fine for me. Do U have build.prop tweaks?

At the time I noticed Netflix, Yahoo Mail, Skype etc said they were incompatible I didn't have any build.prop tweaks. It was just stock CTmod build.prop. But last night I did edit my build.prop to make my phone think it was an HTC Vision because I thought that might take care of the "app not compatible" problem with Google Play. But it didn't work. Have any other suggestions Monster? I'm open to them all! I'm glad you replied, because I have another thread i'm going to post with a very technical question lol

That's strange. I've used Skype several times and just downloaded Netflix to see if the market would let me. It did.

I would reinstall the ROM if it were me because something sure isn't right.

Have you tried getting them from AppBrain or Amazon to see if they will let you download them?

I have Skype installed on my phone. It's been installed for months now and it still works. But when I view Skype, Netflix and a list of other apps in Google Play on my computer's browser, it says they're not compatible with my LG Marquee. And they don't even show up on the Google Play store on my phone at all! And yeah, i've used SlideMe and Appbrain to sideload apps when Google Play says they're incompatible and they work fine!!! That's what I don't understand! But thanks for your replies you guys. I guess I'm going to have to start over fresh :( and I really don't want to because my phone is set up super awesome just the way I like it lol.

But a friend of mine gave me a CDMA Motorola Droid Razr today, so i'm hoping one of you may be able to help me port it to Boost, and then I won't have LG Marquee problems, i'll have Motorola Droid Razr problems lol

Ok, give me a moment. The only way I have internet at home is my wifi hotspot. The cable company won't service my house.

You've got it listed as a nexus one. That's your problem

Should I edit it to be a different device? And if so what device and would you show me what I have to edit? Is that the only thing you see that would make apps show up as incompatible? Because even before I edited my build.prop to be a different device the same apps were saying they were incompatible with a stock build.prop.

Edit it to be a marquee...should work.
If not make it an optimus one...I know that will work for ya.

Thanks Sammyz, but when it was stock it was already edited to be a Marquee and I was still having the same problem.

Hmmm that's weird. Did you try to go to play store on PC and install it?

Going to the Play Store on my PC is when I noticed it was saying certain apps weren't compatible with my Marquee. And that was when my build.prop was stock. Then I searched for those same apps (Netflix, Skype etc) from the Play Store on my phone and they didn't show up at all. But they showed up on my PC but said incompatible. I changed my build.prop to show a different device and it still says the same thing.

    Well that's weird
I thought maybe they released an update that's incompatible with low-end phones...but I'm on my optimus S running optimus V firmware on ICS
And this is what I get:

I figured it out. I like my LCD Density set @ 210 and stock for our phones is 240 ppi. I set it back to 240 and all the apps that weren't showing up or said they were incompatible were all of the sudden there! I guess this is an issue with other people with other phones as well. I like my Density @ 210, but I also like being able to have full use of the Google Play store. Anybody know a permanent solution as to how I can have my Density set @ 210 and have my Google Play store working correctly? I have been looking into this, but it seems as a permanent solution from what I have read is device/rom specific.
