    Does anyone know what the hardware specs are for the Netflix app and why the Samsung Galaxy S phones can't use the new Netflix app.

    There are people who are using the Netflix app on the Gingerbread ROMs on the Captivate already. Look up XDA and get some!

    @AndroidSPCS:

    I am running Cognition 4.1.1 running Froyo. Is it looking like Gingerbread is the big requirement for Netflix to stream movies?

    I installed APK, and the app works great until I try to stream. Will this be waht prompts me to go Gingerbread? :eek:

    Yes you should try Phoenix Mosaic II ROM - it's pretty stable from what I've read. I just moved to the Phoenix ROM but am going to try the Mosaic II ROM when I get a chance to reflash.

    Flash to Mosaic II went without a hitch. Love the rom in general for its speed and clean interface, but I was hoping I'd be able to stream flix in Netflix now. Still says I'm an unsupported device.

    Any ideas?:thinking:

    I did the same, on GR 12 and Netflix works perfectly fine on both wifi and on towers.

    So you need to be rooted or on a legit version of Gingerbread to run this?
