Network connection lag time?

I have on occasion, experienced a relatively long lag time when switching on the mobile network. (I have a network widget to turn it on and off.) Sometimes it can take upwards of around 45 sec to a minute, or so, and this is in areas where the signal is pretty good. Most of the time, it turns on and connects almost instantaneously.

Is this to be expected? Do others experience this?

I think its common. Happens on mine too. Sometimes quick, sometimes a bit of a lag. Depends I guess on signal strength and search time I'd imagine.

Thanks for the feedback. Misery loves company, I guess.

But it is weird. It's been doing it to me today. Went over a minute on a couple occasions, and still wouldn't connect, so I gave up. Signal was very good at -74 dBm! Tried at home tonight and still wouldn't connect, so gave up and switched to WiFi.

I never turn off my connectivity unless I'm going to wifi. But, I have never noticed a lag when switching back. I am fortunate to live in a bullish 4G area that likely sees less demand than most. Wichita Kansas is the largest city in Ks. but not what you would consider a major metropolis. Perhaps that contributes to my stellar connections.

Are you using Juice Defender? I had the lag problem until I uninstalled it.
