I have this issue with the HTC Hero. The firmware is 2.2. I have disabled alot of things on my phone to save battery life, such as brightness, widgets, adding a task manager, and disabling the mobile network always on. Now the issue is that when I try to install apps from the market, they just stall, saying Starting to Download, but they never start. So I restart my phone, and then they start to download. Also, another thing that I have noticed, when I try to watch YouTube videos, they will not play due to the Task Manager being activated. So with that in mind, I tried it with Market, and they still stall. It's rather annoying to wait for the phone to restart to get anything done on it. Is there anything that I can do to fix this issue? Could it be an issue with the Task Manager I'm running?
