Help network problems

It says I have full bars but I can't even use the internet because it takes minutes just to load up pages and half of the time it says web page is unavailable. Sometimes it won't even send text messages and calls are breaking up and its hard to hear them. Any advice?

As I understand it there are two signals that eminate from the cell tower: The one that carries your data and the other that is a reference that is used by your unit to indicate signal strength.

In anycase I have come to ignore the bars. Sometimes I have G3 service indicated as coming in and out (both arrows in bold) and no bars. Sometimes I have 2-3 bars and the call is dropped.

Go figure. :/
