I got my first Blackberry a few years ago after having very utilitarian, basic mobiles up to that point. I liked my Blackberry, but I felt a bit disappointed in the software and some hardware issues (Curve 8320, no video, kind of crappy internet browsing, 2G, still camera hardware issues from almost day one).
When we were up for new phones this month, we were considering iPhones, but I really don't like Apple. I used to have an iMac in the early noughties, and I absolutely hated it. I hated how limited I felt, and I hated how locked into what Apple felt I should do with my system I should be.
I had been interested in an Android phone, and decided to go with the Hero despite some new phones coming out next month. We got our new phones last week (my husband went in a totally different direction with a Vivaz). Although I may kick myself later for not waiting, I can say that I am totally in love. My husband used to joke that I was in love with my "crackberry", but he hadn't seen anything yet. I've only had a few issues, one being the headset not being recognised glitch and separation anxiety when I have to charge it.
