I want to transfer ebooks and music from my PC to my GALAXY tab 2 7.0. I open my computer and open the folder that is connected with the tablet. but Im not sure what folder or where to put the files? do I make a new folder and label books or music.
what kind of file should my ebooks be?

where or how do I pull them up on my tablet once I transfet the files..

Im pretty tech savy but never really transfered files between systems..

thanks in advanced!

I use the "EStrong's File Explorer" app. It will find all of your network share drives/folders under the "LAN" tab, after pressing "Search", and then just copy/paste as needed.

I think the location and format of media files depends to some extent on which apps you will use to access the media files. There is information at this website on the Android supported audio, image and video file formats:

Android Supported Media Formats | Android Developers

I believe the Samsung eBook app supports only epub and pdf file formats and the Google Play Books app only books downloaded from Google Play.

Regarding file locations, I think that the Music Player, Video Player and Gallery image viewer apps will search all folders on your tab and find compatible files. I think you can either use the default Music and Pictures folders or set up your own folders. For ebooks the Samsung eBook app lets you import books from any directory on your tab. I haven't used the Google Play Books app and don't know where it stores files.
