    Morning y'all

You may or may not be aware but Google are releasing a new version of the market for Froyo and newer. Found a copy of the APK so uploaded it to my dropbox for you all. Works like a charm and looks nice if not a little windows 7 like.

Let me know what you all think :)

Wow looks really nice, much needed overhaul, was starting to look quite dated. Cheers for this.

The black version looks good but I found I couldn't always read what was on the screen. Back to the usual version which does the job for me.

Yup search for market in the "manage application" scroll down to compatibilty mode and turn it on. I remember when I 1st downloaded blacked out market I couldnt see some of the lines but turning compatility mode did the trick!

Right. Having problems. Got it working. Went into applications and no sign of compatibility mode. Went back to market and it went back to the green version.

You have to delete market updater (use root explorer to delete it.. You'll find it in the system/app) otherwise it will revert the merket back to the green version... Which rom are you using? perhaps compatibilty mode isnt an option in ur rom.. I have that featrure on MIUI....

what's an "Official Release"? is that like a new chocolate bar or something?:p;)

oh and I might add....Im just waiting for microsoft to now start the legal battles....hell Apple is trying to sue everyone for everything it seems...and now google has given the big M reason to go at them....the market looks a 'lil' like windows phone...try almost rip off even with the sideways swiping etc...

    oh dear oh dear lol

EDIT: Haven't installed it myself...though I will say seeing the offical video...I'm not too 100% on the look and colour...I like the green with android, it sets it apart....I mean microsoft has the black with metro UI etc...iphone has...well.....I don't know...grey? lol android has had green....I like the green..

Thanks I wondered if I needed to delete that. I am on Redux and eagerly waiting an update. Since market is going to update I will wait for that, give it a try and if I don't like it will remove the updater when Redux 2 comes along and try the black one again.
