I have been an iphone owner since 2007 and just switched over to the Galaxy 6s Edge+. I have several issues/questions:

-Every time I press the home key, it asks me to select launcher (nova launcher, touchwiz home or touchwiz easy home). I choose Nova Launcher, but it does not set it as a default. I cleared the default and tried again. Nothing. Then I downloaded an app to help setting defaults and that didn't work either. It seems to be the only (and most frustrating) action that is not setting a default. Is this a glitch? Is there something I can do? Uninstalling Nova Launcher is not an option, it's the only way I'm surviving and getting use to the non-iphone.

-In my manual and several places online, it says that I should have a video camera on the bottom left corner of my phone dialer to make video calls, however, all I have is a visual voicemail button. Where is the option to make video calls, and if there isn't one, what is the easiest way to going about making a video call - Hangout, facebooks, anything else?

-One of the things I am missing from my iphone is my photo streams. Is there a decent replacement for this feature?

    - How are people coming along with the whole imessage issue with apple? I'm still having issues receiving group messages, but it's only been a few days.

    - When my screen is locked and phone is just sitting next to me, how do I get it to where when I get a notification, my screen will light up so that I can actually see it? Right now, I hear the notification, but I have to press my home key in order to see it on my lock screen.

-Pretty much 98% of my friends/family/co-workers have iphones, how do I become able to send emojis where they can see them?

Any input anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I too use Nova Launcher, but do not have the problem you're experiencing. Have tried setting Nova as default within the app itself?

I've tried everything, short of uninstalling and reinstalling, which I'm scared to do, because I don't want to lose all the settings I set on the launcher.

Is their an option in your settings that's says "home" if so open it, re-elect your default launcher and press the home button.

Ok, I have figured out my default launcher issue, apparently it was a wallpaper that I had downloaded that was causing the default apps to continually reset. I'm still trying to figure out these though:

    - When my screen is locked and phone is just sitting next to me, how do I get it to where when I get a notification, my screen will light up so that I can actually see it? Right now, I hear the notification, but I have to press my home key in order to see it on my lock screen.

Yes this is something of a glitch, you shouldn't have such a hassle switching away from TouchWiz to Nova.
Try clearing the app cache of both the TouchWiz and Nova Launcher apps by going into your Settings >> Application manager. Nova will probably be in the 'DOWNLOADED' menu, swipe to the right to find the 'ALL' menu and scroll down to find TouchWiz. (The 'Clear cache' button will just wipe out non-essential temp files, don't tap the 'Clear data' button for Nova, that's where your settings and preferences are stored.)
Now clear the system cache partition on your S6. The system cache is just the dumping ground where background processes store temp files, this won't affect your personal data as that is stored elsewhere. Possibly some temp file became corrupted and won't let itself be rewritten, preventing you from saving Nova as your default.
    -- Power off your S6
-- Restart it by holding down the Volume Up, the Home, and then the Power buttons. You can let them go when you see a blue screen with an Android logo.
-- You're in your phone's Recovery Mode now. The screen's touch interface isn't enabled so (as indicated) you need to use your phone's physical buttons to navigate the menus.
-- Scroll down and select the 'Wipe Cache Partition' option. This will only take a couple of seconds, a 'Done' message will come up.
-- Scroll to 'Reboot' your S6 back into its normal mode.

Pretty sure the OP figured out the issue.

Yeah, I was typing that up as she had already posted she fixed the problem.
