I purchased my first Android device on 10-10, the Sprint HTC Hero. I previously had the Palm Pre for 3 weeks and the Palm Centro for 1 year. I was not thrilled with the Palm Pre. It is a very nice phone and operating system (WebOS), but lacks application support, has small screen and small keyboard. I wish I had them for a side by side comparison.

Anyhow, I have had the Hero for almost a week. Can't seem to put it down. There is so much to do with it and so many applications. My biggest concerns up to this point are the speed (slow at times) and the virtual keyboard (I am trying different Keyboards also). But this could be a deal breaker. Either to go with the Samsung Moment or wait for the Verizon Android phones.
