Help New button on home page!

I'm new to these forums, so I'm not sure where to even post. After updating my Samsung Galaxy S3 I now have a "half-circle" down the side of my phone on the home page and want to get rid of it. It's a quick way to look at all of your apps without leaving the page. Anyone?

Long press on the back button...poof** all gone .

That's the Multi Window tab; it allows you to run two apps simultaneously on the same home screen.
