I just received a Droid A855 (the first one?) and am trying to download some apps and cannot find some. One in particular is ESPN fantasy football. The firmware version says it's 2.0, do I need to update my phone or anything? Sorry for the "beginner" question. Thank you for help!

    WELCOME TO THE FORUMS! :D

Uh, yes. Congratulations on your new Droid! But yeah, the stock Droid is officially on Froyo, which is Android 2.2 and you have some updating to do.

First of all, do you know if the Droid is rooted or stock? Look in your app drawer and see if there is something called "Superuser". If you do, it's rooted. If not, you're likely stock and should have received an Over-The-Air (OTA) to Froyo. If you haven't received it after a few days, call Verizon's support line from your Droid by dialing *611 and explaining you're still on 2.0

I think you'll find the upgrade very, very useful.
