Lets post all the new features we have found. I'll start... 1. When on a call, two new buttons are available under the contacts name for putting your microphone on Mute and a Speaker phone button. These are quicker alternatives than hitting the Menu button.
Seems less laggy. New Android Icon when on a call. It is now a green 3d robot, used to be just a flat graphic. Headphones are now stereo. Default messaging app works and still sleeps.
Wait...so this update that I just downloaded is the one that fixes some of the bugs and lets the phone sleep without handcet or chomp? Can I use my default now?
Can you elaborate? I can't seem to notice a difference in the large calendar widget. Also, somone mentioned something about startup animation being different or something...does anyone know about that?
Mine was also at 100 after update. I've decided to hard reset and start over. I'll report back on the results
Fixed for me. Sent many messages from stock SMS app and phone is sleeping like a bum on a park bench, nice!
Also works for me. tested sending/receiving text from stock messaging app, and it sleeps fine. Uninstalled Handcent now and will use the stock app (frees up some memory to be able to install other stuff).
The whole phone seems a lot faster. I was thinking of taking this phone back...but I think I will keep it. I just hope they keep current with the updates. I uninstalled Handcent and went back to the stock messaging application...I don't like it as much.
for those with the issue, you need to factory reset your phone, you will lose everything, but it will fix it, some people did not need to do that at all
I noticed my battery is dieing really quick now. It went down about 10% in a matter of about 20 minutes.
Ok, so after hard resetting and putting my phone exactly back to how it was before, I don't have the 100% awake time issue anymore. Of course, before the update I was able to do this, only to see my phone go back to 100% after a day or two, so I'll keep checking back and making sure it doesn't jump back to 100 again.
LOL. No, I'm sorry, I mean it has the snapback action when flicking through the programs launcher now. Instead of just stopping at the top or bottom, it travels farther and snaps back. I know some people were asking about that before. Sorry for the confusion.
