I just got my samsung captivate yesterday! so far really cool!
HOwever, I am trying to find a better way to be notified of a text message or missed call.
I know you can change the ringtone etc but I want to know if the only way to know you have a text message is the small 'tiny' envelope icon in the top notification bar..
my dinosaur old pantech matrix would fill most of my screen when i had a text message saying who it was from and displayin their contact picture..
i am praying there is another way to be notified on the home screen or something bigger than that little envelope.
looking forward to using my phone and learning all about it!!
