Tested it out on PG's CM10 and it boots and works so far :). The added Governors are a plus and the ability to go to 1.7ghz is awesome! Talk about bragging rights xP

    Thanks BlazingFire

    Glad it works on CM10.

Now hopefully someone on stock based rom can test. Once I get confirmation on stock I can then post the kernel officially with my source code.

Ok so 1 hit and 2 misses lol.

Looks like you guys need a little more voltage. Motion uses too much voltage lol. This is the reason why I can't push it to 1.8ghz like the Spirit.

I'll compile a new kernel with a little more voltage to see if that does the trick. I'll post back when it's ready.

Awesome! Well gonna test on stock now. Don't see why not since I have to restore it.

Ok new test link is up with a little higher voltage.

If anyone tries it, post back and let me know how it goes. Also let me know if you were on a stock based rom or CM based rom.

So this only worked for one person lol. Motion definitely not good for overclocking. I guess I'll let this one go and move on.

anyway you could add the extra gov's and init support to the 1.6 kernels?

That sounds like a plan lol. I'll post back here tomorrow with a test build of 1.62ghz and all new added features.

My Motion must be one of a kind if I was the only one that got the 1.7ghz kernel working lol ;)

for those that don't know which governer they should use.

    1:Intellidemand:
Intellidemand aka Intelligent Ondemand from Faux is yet another governor that's based on ondemand. Unlike what some users believe, this governor is not the replacement for OC Daemon (Having different governors for sleep and awake). The original intellidemand behaves differently according to GPU usage. When GPU is really busy (gaming, maps, benchmarking, etc) intellidemand behaves like ondemand. When GPU is 'idling' (or moderately busy), intellidemand limits max frequency to a step depending on frequencies available in your device/kernel for saving battery. This is called browsing mode. We can see some 'traces' of interactive governor here. Frequency scale-up decision is made based on idling time of CPU. Lower idling time (<20%) causes CPU to scale-up from current frequency. Frequency scale-down happens at steps=5% of max frequency. (This parameter is tunable only in conservative, among the popular governors)
To sum up, this is an intelligent ondemand that enters browsing mode to limit max frequency when GPU is idling, and (exits browsing mode) behaves like ondemand when GPU is busy; to deliver performance for gaming and such. Intellidemand does not jump to highest frequency when screen is off.

    2: SmartassV2:
Version 2 of the original smartass governor from Erasmux. Another favorite for many a people. The governor aim for an "ideal frequency", and ramp up more aggressively towards this freq and less aggressive after. It uses different ideal frequencies for screen on and screen off, namely awake_ideal_freq and sleep_ideal_freq. This governor scales down CPU very fast (to hit sleep_ideal_freq soon) while screen is off and scales up rapidly to awake_ideal_freq (500 mhz for GS2 by default) when screen is on. There's no upper limit for frequency while screen is off (unlike Smartass). So the entire frequency range is available for the governor to use during screen-on and screen-off state. The motto of this governor is a balance between performance and battery.

    3:Conservative Governor:
This biases the phone to prefer the lowest possible clockspeed as often as possible. In other words, a larger and more persistent load must be placed on the CPU before the conservative governor will be prompted to raise the CPU clockspeed. Depending on how the developer has implemented this governor, and the minimum clockspeed chosen by the user, the conservative governor can introduce choppy performance. On the other hand, it can be good for battery life.

    4:superbad:
SuperBad Governor: A "superbad" super smooth rendition of a highly optimized "smartass" governor! Low latency and more responive to the user.

Someone start a new thread for sharing any init.d scripts that anyone finds on the web and any anyone writes.

I wrote one I can share with you guys to control the kernel.

    PS
I've been using the intellidemand on the spirit and I get amazing battery and good performance with it. I highly recommend it.

I know this is a little late, but I was wondering if you could possibly compile in OTG on the kernel. A small keyboard could turn our phone into a mini gaming rig. It would be much better for things like SNES and GTA3.

I am currently using PG's dirty kernal
    346-2.09GHz.
If its possible to mount/add a GPU kernal to over clock the GPU to a higher frequency than 400MHz
    Plz if possible.
LG SPIRIT STILL GOT A BREATHER.
    currently working on 4.4
