    Hi all,

New member here, and I'm considering an android phone for sprint.

Right now, I'm with ATT and I use an iPhone, but I'm sick of paying so much when I can join a family plan for $20. With unlimited data. Also the android operating system looks really cool!

I've got a few questions though...

Are there any tethering apps (like MyWi for iPhone) that allow the phone to create a mobile ad-hoc hotspot for free?

Any new phones coming to sprint? Not a big fan of the Evo just because of it's size and battery life, but I like the Motorola ones that verizon has and the LG optimus s.

Anyway, glad to be a member here and I look forward to reading up on the OS and its devices!

    -John

Ad hoc connection is doable if you're rooted.

Welcome to Android Forums, btw. :)
