I just bought a Galaxy Nexus a couple hours ago, and for some reason, I am not receiving any texts on it, however the previous phone that I had before the Nexus is receiving those texts. I just wanted to know why that is happening, and what I have to do to get the texts to come to my new phone.

Hello and welcome aboard. My guess is that your previous phone must have been on while the Galaxy Nexus was being activated. You might have to contact your subscriber for them to fix this problem. :)

if you ported your number in from another carrier then the port is not complete, if you simply upgraded with the same carrier then as Rush stated, both phones were probably on at the same time, turn them both off and do a battery pull on the GNex then restart only the Gnex.

You may need to call your carrier (I assume Verizon). They may not have provisioned something correctly on your account.

Make a couple calls from the Nexus and it should finish the programming on its own.

I had a similar issue with my Droid Incredible a few years back where my data plan was still linked to my old phone yet voice calling was on the DINC.

A quick phone call to VZ tech support, a reboot here and there, and you'll be all set.
