Root new phone runs hotter then last

    im on fabs rom..one of chevs kernels overclocked at 1.0ghz same setup i had on my last droid

    i get phones run diff from one another but it seems to matter wat kernel i throw at this its running hotter and doing basic things like just some light browsing sometimes get the processor up to 42-44 c

    any tips on something i can possibly try

    My guess...just luck of the draw, some processors scale better than others by which I mean some run hotter than others at any given speed. I'm having real good results with the same ROM using the P3Droid 1.2 Ghz LV kernel.

    I'd offer up a different POV. Give the processor a little time to settle in. Much like with Desktop processors...if you OC them, they run hotter when you first overclock them and will usually settle in after a little time.
