It seems like they are decent Mid-Range phones.

Being a LG G Stylo user, I don't see any merit of switching it. LG G Stylo recently updated with MM which even reduces a reason to switch.

But if you have older phones with smaller screen (Samsung Core Prime, LG Leon or older) these will be a good upgrade.

    Samsung Galaxy J7
    $179.00 (Tmobile $239.00)

    • 4G LTE enabled
    • Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
    • 5.5" HD Super AMOLED display
    • 13MP autofocus main camera with LED flash
    • 5MP wide angle front-facing camera with LED Flash
    • 16GB Internal
    • 2GB RAM

    * Please note there are two versions of J7 (2015 & 2016). Tmobile & Metro PCS J7 are 2015 version.

According to GSM Arena 2016 version is thicker and has more battery capacity (3000 mAh vs 3300 mAh). Also Metro / Tmo J7 has 2GB RAM instead of 1.5GB.

For us, a true upgrade would be higher resolution with 6+", I doubt we'll EVER see that...

NEXT... storage, also looks dicey: 64gb should be minimum... reasons way too numerous to bog down this thread with.

I don't see any BYOD(with the correct bands & NFC) either, that fulfills all that.

I'm disappointed with two things mainly:
    1. Stylo missing some expected features: IR, FM, USB Host
AND... Stylo 2 is not a real upgrade.
    2. The next better phone, whatever the brand, will be smaller sized.

Speaking of ram, I'll happily stick to 2, just give me 64/128 storage.
