Can someone either post the details of how to load a new rom or email them to me. I'm an old windows guy and Android is all new to me. I did root my phone but I'm still having problems with memory. I've moved everything that I can to the SD Disk but still having problem even when I don't load more apps. I turned on my calendar and it seemed to fill it right up and I can't move the calendar to the SD Disk.

I stumbled through the rooting of my phone I guess I can stumble through the new ROM if someone would give detail directions.

    Thanks,

    Jim

In this link you will find detailed instructions on how to install a rom: http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...-how-simplified-root-recovery-custom-rom.html. Be sure you also follow the directions on how to flash a recovery. I cannot stress enough how important a recovery is. It is there for you in case you do something to screw up your phone. Be sure to back up your current settings with the recovery so it will be there in case you DO have an accident.

I don't know about you but I've tried everything to install lin2sd and couldn't get it to work. If I'm not mistaken you have to partition the SD Drive and I could never get the SD Drive to work after partitioning it. I've tried everything. I have a 16GB SD drive and I split it in 1/2 and I tried restoring what I had backed up to either side and it still would not work. I ended up everytime going back to a single partition and restoring what I had on it. I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked.
