After seeing and hearing so much about this phone I've decided to upgrade, but have a couple of questions. Does it sync contact photos with facebook? And can I transfer my paid apps from my old phone to this one?

    Thanks.

Yes and yes your paid apps will be waiting for you to redownload when you open the market for the first time.

    Cheers bud.

What are your thoughts on the phone?

Edit...is there anyway I can move all my texts from my old phone?

Personally I love the phone. It's the best one I've had by far. I'm not too sure about transferring messages unless you have been using a third party text app as I don't think data from 2 different stock apps will be compatible.

Does the S2 have a battery percentage indicator for the status bar?

nope. there are custom roms which include it, but the stock samsung rom with touchwiz does not have this indicator.

You can download a widget to show the battery percentage, that's what I did and it's super helpful.

Just found out from another thread that there's an app called sms backup+ which backups to your gmail account so you can transfer them between phones.

That thumb keyboard looks interesting, might give it a go.

btw...I have an unlocked handset, but there is not update past 2.3.4, should 2.3.5 be available yet?

I specifically like the option to reduce the height of the row with the space key - I find it useful because I often hit it by mistake. Then, again, it's very subjective.
