I can not speak for all but my samsung galaxy prevail from boost mobile came with Gingerbread EJ06 allready installed. It also will not allow me to flash from odin. Odin recognizes the phone however the flash process basically goes nowhere. I have heard that some others have had the same problem and I have tried two seperate samsung galaxys from boost and had the same result with both.

Has anyone found a way around this?

Any help will be greatly apretiated.

Thanks Hroark13 for the heads up on others having the same issue

<1> odin mode.. check platform verification.
    <1> START!!!
<1> odin mode.. do file mapping..

hope this gives you an idea on how we can get past this it is the farthest point that i had gotton

and sometimes it got stuck at this stage as well but my guess is that was my error as I am still new to odin I am currently working with someone who is a lot smarter than me to try and figure this out. I will accept any help offered and I will post any help i i do get here.

I alway include this in Odin packages

    The proper version of Odin
    The samsung drivers
    The ops file
    The tar file

Did you see these files ?

I wouldn't call it useless. You may have helped someone else out. I have learned a lot just by reading threads. The help you received from others troubleshooting, and their willingness to explore all sorts of avenues is educational.
