New SD Card - Do I need to do anything special?

I just bought an 8 GB SD card to replace the 2 GB one that came with my Incredible. Is there anything I need to do to it? Apparently there was information on the last one...

Format it to FAT32 on your computer.

If there's information/apps/cache on your old card, easiest thing to do it copy the whole root directory to your PC, and then move to new SD card once your format it.

Is this possible to do on a Mac? Do I have to install some software or something?

Go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility > Erase and select FAT(32)

This will completely wipe the card (this is what you want - make sure you back up if you already started using it with pertinent info), and then format it correctly. After that, plug n play and you should be all good
