I was one of the UK T-Mobile Desire owners who upgraded to 2.2 a couple of days after it became available and ended up with the German version of their software.

I had notification tonight of an upgrade which removes the German elements, it's only a 30MB download (compared with the 80 or so meg for the original 2.2 upgrade).

It seemed to work ok, I've lost Mobilbox etc at least. The only issue was that I had trouble signing into my Youtube account after upgrading - I had to go through an 'captcha' authentication several times before it would let me log in again. Not sure if this is just a co-incidence though.

    Software version now: 2.12.110.4

You're lucky then. I think i'll let the phone inform me of updates next time instead of searching and finding them manually. Only mediencentre has been removed for me, i still have the 5 other apps.
