    This may sound simple to some, but how do you pay for apps? I have only downloaded free ones.

    You setup a market account and link your credit/debit card to it. I think it used my gmail account but I honestly can't remember.

    yup, you can link a credit card to your google account and it'll just take it from there.

    I've you've got a Google Checkout account already setup that is linked to the Google account that your phone is tied to, it will all be pretty seamless.
