Root New To evo.

So I bought My Evo 4g Recently Because I didn't want to renew contract for now and It looks like I can still use it for a while. So first of all Installed the software 4.54 update. I want to root the phone and install a custom rom and I need suggestions. I heavily use it for music so I would like to get the most juice out of my battery for music, I also use 4G and GPS. Is there any roms you guys can recommend that fit my needs? Thank you in advanced.

I love MikG ROM... it is very stable.

then get a custom Kernel for better performance and battery life. I am using Freedom kernel.

then get SetCPU app. you can under-clock the cpu... to save battery when you are using it as an MP3. that does not require to much power to do.

I also suggest Google Music App. You can store all your songs on there and save the card for other stuff.
