Hello. Just bought the incredible Fiday. Was wondering if I should be able to press the menu button rather than swiping to unlock the screen like i could on my Eris? Mine doesnt do this??

Prior to the update to Android 2.2 you could use the Menu button, but after the update that function has been removed. So, unfortunately, you will not be able to use the Menu button.

Get Widget Locker. You can customize your Lockscreen to be what ever you want it to be. You an use different sliders (Sense, Android, iPhone, Rotary), change the wallpaper to be different than the home screen, and add widgets to the lockscreen.

Also, you can set it to where the soft key buttons unlock. The screen has to be on though, dont remember how it worked for the Eris. So, instead of swiping, I have it set for the back key.

I agree with X_Prozak_X get Widget Locker. You might want to look into Launcherpro also.
