    Hello all,

My wife just got a Thunderbolt - her first smartphone. I'm an rooted Eris owner, but after reading this forum about the reboot problems and the battery issues beginning with an update, I wonder if I should do an update or not.

Her is the current phone info:
    Android version: 2.2.1
    Baseband: 1.16.00.0223r
Build number: 1.12.605.6 CL3388893 release keys
    Software number: 1.12.605.6

Her phone has no reboot problems, and her battery life is very good - she's not a power user, but she does use the phone for texts, camera, emails.

Where exactly is the phone as far as updates and current software? A check for update reveals "No New Updates". Which update should we accept or decline?

Must say, this is one nice phone. If it had Skype video and Netflix, it could seduce me away from wanting an iPhone!

    Thanks for your help.

Im almost 100 percent sure. (99.9) that that is stock firmware.. In that case the MR1 update was the one causing all the reboots. MR2 which was just released solved them. So yes update! Or root and put AOSP on it.. (Best choice)
