    Lurking about....
Hello all. I'm glad I could find a site such as this. I'm hopefully going to end up with a Android-powered device soon, as my contract with sprint is close to its end. I was wondering...any suggestions on where to go and what phone is the best?

For the moment, Sprint. I will most likely be leaving soon.

Well, I figure about mid-July I will be making my decisions on handset and carrier. And it will most likely be VZW when I do go.

well I have had zero problems with the verizon network. It has been great and I have had maybe two dropped calls in the last year. Data usage is also very fast even if I only have 1-2 bars of 3g service. Any android phone you get will be worth the money in my opinion. Android is just such a better platform than apple's. I would know as my brother is getting an iphone 4, has an ipod touch, and my dad has an ipad. They are easy to use but nothing in comparison to this android platform. Our possibilities are endless, their possibilities are what apple decides to let them do.

not that this thread had anything about apple I just figured I would put that in there since the two os's are very competitive

    already said in details...;)

Just left AT&T myself. Shopped around ALLOT, 1st for rate-plans, then for phones. personally don't think you can beat sprint rates you are with them now, just get the EVO, and if you can afford it, buy it without contract. just incase you see better deals going forward.

I have heard alot of good things about the EVO but I just wouldnt be able to justify the extra $10 per month for 4g coverage until it gets a little more widespread. Just my 2 cents
