I was a Alltel buyout customer with a Blackberry Curve out of contract.
So after checking it out I decided the Droid Eris was the phone for me.
I ordered it from Verizon online for $32 including tax with it arriving the next day. They even allowed me to continue my old Alltel rate plan for 2 more years which I figure is about $20 less then the equivalent Verizon plan. I've already loaded it up with some great apps and love Swype it made getting use to the onscreen keyboard much easier.
