    Hi guys

So I have finally succumbed and got myself an HTC Desire as my Orange upgrade. The tariff is really good for me and I'm blown away by how good the phone is. I have been using an iPhone for work and asides from the games on the app store, the Desire is just so much better. So I'm working my way slowly through these threads (some great recommendations for apps here, thank you so much) but I'm wondering if there is anything nasty I need to keeop an eye out for or anything I should do as a priority now that I have my new handset.

    hi, and welcome.

    I'd recommend:
    1. install astro file browser
    2. install mybackup pro, to backup your apps and data.
    3. turn off mobile data (apn) when not needed to save battery
    4. if you like games, get an emulator app like snesoid or gameboid and the app rombuddy to install the games.

good call on getting a Desire my friend, personally the first thing i did was to root that mother to gain the advantages of that, but you may want to hang around for Froyo, up to you!

I too would highly recommend Astro File Manager and Snesoid.

There are some brilliant threads on here though with great advice, i am too currently working through them!
