Hello all, I need some assistance as to where I should purchase my Evo 4g.

I am a sprint customer and do have the $150 upgrade option already. I also have a exsisting $70 credit
I also work for Clearwire (CLEAR) as a sales rep and recieve 24% Discount.

Currently the phone I use is a LG Rumor - this will be my first smartphone ever.

Now to my knowledge so far I hear sprint is selling it at 450 minus 150 upgrade - 100 MIR.
so 300 @ the door initially but 200 actual cost.

Can Best Buy or Radio Shack apply my 150 upgrade? I would love to avoid the MIR.

anyone knows with a corporate discount, does a Credit Union discount stack?
Corporate 24% + Cusavers.com 10% ?????

Secondly - my sprint contract expires in Sept. - Is it mandatory for me to renewal a 2yr??? or do I enter a month to month deal?

Lastly - the Retention Dept.
I figure since my contract is about to expire, any other previous Sprint users here have recieved freebies or extras from retention. What can I do?

If I am purchasing from sprint - I would like them to put the phone purchase onto my bill. waive activation - free accessories (from a sales rep, threatening I'll go buy from BB/RS)

opps another lastly...
If best buy or Radio shack are able to apply my 150 upgrade towards the phone and get their instant MIR - can I still MAIL IN a rebate I recieved from a sprint store???

thank you in advance! I cant wait for this phone to get unlocked, cracked, hacked like the original psp 1.000 - fully modded, free wifi access but in our case, wimax access maybe. and HOMEBREWS

TRUE

TRUE

I do not know. Discounts do not normally stack, though, even on monthly bills.

No, but to get the $150 credit you describe above you must be eligible to enter into a new 2 year contract and do so. If you want a 1 year contract, your get a (I think) $75 credit. If you want to go month-to-month, it's the full boat. Also, rumor is that BB and RS are charging $599 for the retail price and they WON'T let you preorder.

Lastly - the Retention Dept.

Depends on your situation. Waiving the activation fee is the most likely although with hot phones like the Evo, they are definitely less willing to. Usually doesn't hurt to ask.

Nope.

Welcome to the world of smart phones that do more than call!

Best Buy and radio shack will give you the same price as anywhere else. the advantage of those two versus the sprint store is that there is no mail in rebate. So the phone is 199 out the door.

Discounts can NOT be stacked. So best to keep your larger discount.

Yes, a 2 yr contract is mandatory if you want the phone at this price. Otherwise you would pay full price if you dont want the contract.

No, you cannot mail in a rebate if you bought at BB or radio shack. They will catch it and deny it.
